Before co-founding Blue Planet, Rod Lake founded and operated 8 successful companies including: HTC Publishing; Westech Expocorp (event production and promotion); Jobs America (employment); American Made Suspension (manufacturing); Bridge Bank (merchant banking); Relegence (information aggregation); and Airborne Health (consumer products). The companies created over $500 million in shareholder value and provided more than 3,000 college scholarships to at-risk youth over a 25 year period. He is acknowledged as one of the leading supporters of youth sports activities in the country and sits on the Board of Eddie Aikau Foundation in Honolulu, HI.
